Description
The Woodward SPC (Servo Position Controller) is a field‑programmable servo‑valve driver that controls one integrating or proportional servo‑valve. It accepts position demand signals from CANOpen, DeviceNet, or 4‑20 mA analog input, and accurately positions the valve using feedback from one or two (redundant) AC devices or one DC device (LVDT/RVDT). Integral excitation and signal conditioning are provided for LVDT/RVDT sensors.

The SPC is configurable via a Windows‑based service tool, allowing users to configure, autocalibrate, dynamically adjust, and manually stroke the servo. Autocalibration greatly simplifies setup and reduces installation time. The unit is bulkhead‑mounted, rated IP20, and certified for hazardous locations (Class I, Division 2, Groups A‑D, T4; Zone 2 IIC T4). It includes protection and alarm indication for communication timeouts, input out‑of‑range, feedback open‑wire, position error, internal faults, actuator open/short, and driver overcurrent.
