Mark Vle Control Power Distribution Board, Cat. Nos. IS200JPDLG1A, IS210JPDHG1A, IS400JPDHG1A, IS410JPDHG1A, IS411JPDHG1A
The IS200JPDLG1A is a GE component created for the Mark VI system. The Mark VI was one of GE’s last management systems for gas and steam turbines that were released as part of the Speedtronic line. This line of turbine management systems had been researched, developed, and successfully released by General Electric for three decades. The Mark VI includes some of the best parts of these earlier systems (triple redundant control, for example,) with technological advances available at the time of its release, like Ethernet communication capability and a Windows platform PC used as an HMI (operator interface.)
The IS200JPDLG1A is a Power Distribution board. The JPDL board is sometimes known as the “Skinny” board due to its dimensions. The IS200JPDLG1A provides DC power distribution between the source of control power (often a JPDS or JPDP board) and several I/O packs. IS200JPDLG1A boards can be daisy-chained together. This board is used to provide organized separation of control power by providing isolated distribution circuits for the TMR system.
The IS200JPDLG1A has six varistors mounted on the board alternating with six I/O connectors. These connectors are Mate-n-Lock connectors and are labeled JR1/JR2, JS1/JS2, and JT1/JT2. On either end of the board, there are two larger 5-pin Mate-N-Lock connectors. The JL1 connector is an input and the JL2 is an output. Input power is typically 28 VDC. Refer to GEI-100613 for more information.
IS200JPDLGIA is a Local Pack DC Power Distribution Board manufactured and designed y General Electric as part of the Mark Ve Series used in the GE Distributed ContolSystem. The Local Pack de Power Dstribution UPDL) board enables daisy-chainconnections for numerous downstream JPDL boards as wellas dc power distribution betwveenthe source of control power (potentially JPDP or JPDS) and numerous 0 packs. Each l0 pack connection has branch circuit protection suppled by positive temperaturecoeficien fuse devices. I addtion to controllng hardware redundanc, the board made to make simple to maintan up to thre independent contro power dstributioncrcuits. It is ypicalto have separate control power for R,S, and T hardware in a TMR system. JPDL enables structured separation of the contol power by including threeindependent power circuits on a single board.
INSTALLATION:
Ameta bracke next to the packets s where JDPL is mounted vertcaly The cords for the power sourcente fom the back, while thecables for the ouput emere out thefront. The connectors are all Mate-N-Lok. Consult the circuit diagram for cable destinations.OPERATION:
INPUTS: Typically, up to three redundant feds from JPDP or JPDS provide 28 V dc in input power. The three distinct powerfeds are received y the 5pin Mate N Lok inputconector on three dferent pinsfortriple redundany The feds are catgorized a Red, Blue, and Black This connectionis made possble by the P1, P2 and P3 connectorson JPDP.The remaining two pins of the 5-pin Mate- N-Lok connector are used to transmit the return curent, whichis shared by the three TMR feds
OUTPUTS: Indvidual/O packs are powered by six identical output circuits. Each of the R,S, and T feds provides two (red, bue, and black. Areseting positive temperaturecofficient fuse device with the designation CL (curent limit is included in each of the six I pack feeds to offer branch circuit protection that is coordinated with the wirebetween JPDL and the l/O pack.
