Description:

The Allen-Bradley 1402-LS51 Line Synchronization Module (LSM) provides an extremely accurate and quick means of monitoring all synchronization parameters between an incoming alternator (synchronizing bus) and a main power bus (reference bus). It ensures that voltage, frequency, and phase are matched before connecting the alternator to the system. The LSM supports three synchronization methods: PID control (using PLC-5 PID instruction), discrete I/O (using LSM error signals), and the clipped gain method (using BTR data tables). It also enables load sharing between multiple alternators by calculating power demand and adjusting speed/output accordingly. The module is configurable via block transfer reads/writes and integrates with Allen‑Bradley 1771 I/O racks.
