AC800M is ABB's high-end product in the field of industrial automation and control technology. In terms of communication protocols, it supports a variety of mainstream communication protocols in the automation industry. With these protocols, it can communicate freely with PLC brands of other manufacturers (such as Siemens, AB, Schneider, etc.), and can also import third-party devices that support multiple communication protocols. At the same time, it also supports ABB's previous internal protocols in the field of control technology, such as AF100, MB300, etc., and supports ABB's communication protocol DDCS in transmission control technology. When creating or expanding a network using AC800M in actual application, engineers select the appropriate network and communication protocol according to their needs, and select the matching communication module.

 (1) If you need to communicate with ABB AC800M controllers, it is generally recommended that the control network of AC800M PLC adopt the MMS protocol based on Ethernet. 

(2) If you need to communicate with controllers of other brands (AB, Siemens, etc.), AC800M also supports the following communication protocols: Profibus, ProfiNet, ModbusTCP, Ethernet/IP and Devicenet. Profibus, ProfiNet, and DeviceNet can also connect to third-party peripheral devices that support these protocols.
