RLC16MK2 600-045 Vibration VM600Mk2 Relay Module

The RLC16Mk2 is an optional standalone relay unit in the second-generation VM600Mk2 rack-mounted mechanical monitoring system. When the four relays provided by a single MPCAMk2 1OC4Mk2 card are insufficient for a specific application, the optional RLC16Mk2 module can expand the relay output. The RLC16Mk2 module must operate under the control of its associated MPC4Mk2 module; it is compatible with both standard VM600Mk2 system racks (ABE04x) and ultra-thin racks (ABE056). This relay module is a single-slot unit, occupying one slot in the VM600Mk2 rack: it is mounted at the rear of the rack and connects directly to the rack backplane via two connectors.

The RLC16Mk2 module features 16 user-configurable single-pole double-throw (SPDT) relays (RL1 to RL16) for remotely indicating system alarms and/or status information. This relay module is driven by a control circuit that supports the VM600Mk2 system's "Safety/Line" function—a system-wide control signal. Upon detecting a system fault, this control signal automatically drives all relays and analog outputs within the system to a safe state, ensuring timely power cut-off in the event of a fault. The relay module supports both latching and non-latching modes, the specific mode of which is configured and controlled by the associated MPC4Mk2 module.
